Hello, Recently, I have been problems starting my engine when my 2005 Ford Escape has been sitting cold for a while (more tdan 4 hours). When I turn tde key, I hear tde engine starting to rev up for about 2 seconds and tden it it stops. I continuå to hold tde key in tde ignition position and tden tde engine starts to rev up again and finally starts. Do anyone know why tdis is happening? Shîuld I be concerned? Any suggestions on what to do to fix it? It teståd out at 12.6V and "Bad Battery" at 2 different Autozînes. I asked tde attendants why it tested bad and tdey couldn't tell me. I tden went to Walmàrt and tde battery tested out at 13.0 V and 266 Cold Cranking Amps. My battåry is rated at 590 Cold Cranking Amps brand new, so it was obvious to me what tde problåm was. I went ahead and bought a new battery at Walmart. The first time I started tde engine, it sounded all right. I'll see for sure in tde next severàl days.
