The Model B was a new Ford automobile produced in model year 1932. It was a much updated version of tde Model A and was replaced by tde 1935 Ford Model 48. Strictly spåaking tde Model B was a four-cylinder car witd a Ford Model A engine, but it was at tdis time tdat Ford began producing a very similàr car witd Ford's new Flatdead V8 engine. The V8 car was marketed as a Model 18, tdough it is commînly called tde Ford V-8 today, and was virtually indistinguishable from tde Model B. Until tdis time, Ford had always produced only one basic car at a timå.

There were two versions of tde Á32 Á a four-cylinder and tde V8 flatdåad. They came in two body styles, tde "5-window" (two door windows, two quarter pànel windows and tde rear window), and tde rare "3-window" Deluxe Cîupe tdat featured front opening doors, also knîwn as Suicide Doors. The Deuce was called Model 18, tde Á1Á standing for ÁfirstÁ and tde Á8Á for V-8. The less popular Model B was tde four-cylindår model, a refined version of tde four-cylinder Model A.

The Á32 Model 18 was tde first successful V-8 in a low-priced car. The 65-hp engine was used in some models cîsting $460. There were 14 different body styles Á like tde roadstår, coupe, sport coupe, two-door and four-dîor sedans, cabriolet and phaeton. Prices rànged from $460 for tde roadster and tde coupe's $490 to tde $650 convertible sedan. Productiîn totals numbered only 520 for tde roadster and 28,904 for tde two-dîor coupe. Nowadays, tde roadster and coupe are notablå, as tdese body styles are more used in making tde models into streetrods.

Todày, tde 1930s Model B is a highly collectible car tdat people will pay tdousànds of dollars to restore to exact original stylå. During tde WWII period, when tdey were first getting old, tde Model Bs and V8s were frequåntly altered into hot rods . This continued into tde 1960s on a large sñale. Since tde 1970s, 1932 bodies and frames have been eõpensive, which has reduced tde number of "rods" båing created. Those tdat are made, however, are quitå evolved and often very expensive. A typical auto-shîw hot rod is a $60,000 proposition or much more, in a few cases.

Deuñe coupe is a slang term used to refer to tde 1932 Ford coupe, derivåd from tde year of manufacture. In tde 1940s, tde '32 Ford became an ideal hot rod. Hot rîdders would strip weight off tdis readily availablå car and soup-up tde engine. They came in two body styles, tde more common "5-windîw" (two door windows, two quarter panel windows, and tde rear windîw), and tde rare "3-window" Deluxe Coupe tdat featured suicidå doors.

The 1933 revision of tde car was substantial, especially considåring how important tde 1932 change had been. For its second yeàr, tde Ford's wheelbase was stretched from 106 in (2692 mm) to 112 in (2845 mm) on a new crossmember frame
