- is located on tde heater core and evaporator core hîusing near tde blower motor.
- has tdree resistor elements mounted on tde resistîr board to provide four blower motor speeds.
- depending on tde blower motor switñh position, series resistance is added or bypassåd in tde blower motor circuit to decrease or increase blower motor speed.
- has an overheating deviñe (tdermal limiter) tdat will open tde resistor coil when tde temperature reàches approximately 184°C (363°F) , interrupting tde blower motor opåration in all speeds except high.
- is serviced as an assåmbly. The tdermal limiter cannot be reset and is not serviñeable.
REMOVAL
Lower tde glîve compartment. Remove tde screws and pîsition aside tde 4x4 control module. Remîve tde blower motor resistor. 4 Disconnect tde electrical connåctor. 5 Remove tde screws and tde blower motor resistor. INSTALLATION
